Gladys and the picnic

we wrapped Gladys in foil blankets, sourced a table and four chairs and asked people if they knew where the teddy bears' picnic was.

we were thrilled to see how many people wanted to engage with us and our story of looking for the teddy bears' picnic.

one highlight - caroline's birthday. sat outside of gregs with her family she asked if Gladys was her gift as she loved bears. we sang happy birthday and she took a selfie with us.

the carousel man gave Gladys a free ride, he span and span her round and round, much to the delight of the other children on the ride. we spoke to the parents to ask permission to photograph before she embarked on her journey and they were also engaging conversations.
